  1. Definitely a thanks from me and best wishes for the future Jim.
  2. Both good, but the Leonardo is better. There's a fix for the blurry textures and performance issues of the VC: http://www.flythemaddog.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8778
  3. Every single FMC equipped airliner I have for FS9 gives this message when the AIRAC has officially expired, and most of them are not PMDG products.
  4. On the basis of my enjoyment of the Citation X I will most likely be a purchaser in the next couple of weeks. Eaglesoft makes excellent, stable and deep simulations, and I've been very pleased with them in the past.
  5. The iFly forum is working fine for me.
  6. Thanks for the reply Bryan. I tried a second flight and things seemed to be back to normal, so maybe it was just 'one of those things'. I'll check out that thread though in case it happens again.
  7. Hi,I'm flying for the first time in a while, and I've just updated to 1.6. In this flight I'm having a very strange problem in that the FS2crew audio only plays if I pause Flight Simulator! It sounds as though it's queuing all the audio pieces up, but not playing them until I pause. Can anyone suggest a reason for this and a solution please?Thanks!p.s. Should have said, this is FS9, on Win 7 x64
  8. That is a very nice looking aircraft, and the Nimitz looks great as well.
  9. I must be confusing it with something else then, sorry for the misinformation!
  10. The Quest Kodiak as mentioned above is a lovely aircraft.
  11. If you have the registered version of FSUIPC I think you can sort that out - there's a setting for control acceleration or something.
  12. Looks great, I'll be looking forward to the FS9 version!
  13. I have the Scout package and the 260. Both are great and neither really has any flaws, so it depends where you want to fly it I think. The scouts are slow in comparison to the 260, so if you want quicker cross-country hops go for the 260. On the other hand if you want low and slow bush flying, go for the scouts.

Just another reassurance for anyone contemplating UD, I've been using it for the last few years and it has never caused any kind of corruption or problem.
  15. Hi again Bryan,I take it back, I thought I had killed everything, but TrackIR 5 was still running in the background. If I keep TrackIR off until the ATR has loaded everything seems to work fine. This is a fine workaround, but is there any chance of you having a word with the people at Naturalpoint and seeing if this an easy fix somewhere for them? Thanks,Mark
  16. Hi Bryan,I killed off everything except windows essential services and processes, but unfortunately it still didn't work. Do you know if anyone has succeeded with the FS9 ATR and Windows 7 x64, or is this a hopeless task? Thanks,Mark
  17. I'm using Gamebooster to shut down non-essential tasks, but I'll be more ruthless and kill off everything I can that won't shut down windows. I've got the errors down to only the groundcomms gauge by disabling my anti-virus - so I can run through most of the flows now.I'll report back if I can isolate the problem process.
  18. Is there anyway of fixing this conflict with TrackIR on the seatbelt gauge? I reinstalled FS2Crew this morning and suffered three guages not loading.I tried disabling TrackIR and all sorts of other programs and services, but had the same problems. Three or four gauges give the problem: groundcomms, seatbeltCL, Stand and takeoffdatacard. (Can't remember the exact names, hopefully that is close enough that you know what I mean). This is on Win7 x64, so I wonder if that's the problem - maybe something permissions related?
  19. I have an E5200, 2GB RAM, 9600GT an Win 7 x64. Runs fine for me, go get it!

I have an E5200 with 2GB RAM on Win 7 x64 and it's fine for me - not on maximum settings obviously, but it looks good and flies great.
  21. Like everyone else has said, DCS A-10C all the way. Just pull out your credit card right now and buy it, then buy DCS Blackshark as well, because that also rocks, but in a rotary winged way. Both are excellent, and you won't find better systems or flight modelling for combat aircraft.

    Buy it now!
  23. Give them a chance, Airsimmer seem to have just pulled off a real phoenix from the flames moment here. Just when everyone was making plans for the funeral here comes a patch basic users have been waiting (a long time) for. Perhaps Airsimmer have told the truth after all - they said they would get basic sorted before moving onto the ET version again...
  24. Another vote for the Kodiak from me, two thumbs up
  25. Well, so far I haven't delved into it, so it's just doing whatever it does by default, but I seemed to have a shed load more AI going on on an EHAM to EGLC flight this evening. I haven't removed my WOAI flights yet, but I might try that and see how it looks.
