December 19, 201015 yr Hi guys, after downloading mostly everything what is available form FTX/OZx as freeware, I´m now searching for an adequate bushplane. I acutally only use the Aerosoft DHC-2 Beaver, but I have problems with taildraggers and the Beaver is obviously a little bit too big . Now I´m searching for a plane with a tricycle gear and the capability of some bush flyin´. I´ve heared that Carenado has some pritty good ones out, but I´m not very familiar with their products. Maybe you can give me some ideas, cause I want to use their chistmas sale. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

However, when I do my back country flying in a trike, I like to use their 182Q and the 206. I'm partial to the 206 because that's the plane I had IRL before I got my Baron, but their 182Q has a nice VC that I find quite immersive. If you like the RG model, you can find a very nice set of HD textures for it over in the Orbx freeware bin. Jeremy "rightseater" Fletcher
December 19, 201015 yr You might consider The LHC Quest Kodiak,Fantastic/Rugged aircraft,Very Smooth price$http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Kodiak.html
December 19, 201015 yr Another thumbs-up for the Lionheart Quest Kodiak. If it can't get in and out, probably nothing else will.I'm not much of an airplane guy, they get me from point A to point B. But I did buy the Kodiak and am glad I did.
December 19, 201015 yr Well, if the Beaver is too big then the larger Kodiaks and Caravans don't fit your criteria. The 206 is smaller, but not that much (one less seat), and a decent bush plane.IMO, if you want a 4-6 seat tricycle geared bush plane the Maule is your best bet.regards,Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
December 19, 201015 yr Wanna bring some cargo to your remote located friends? Nothing better than the Aerosoft Twin Otter. Hard to beat on the STOL side and very versatile package there. Skis, Floats, Wheels and two avionics suites. The times of the best cockpit optics might be over there but it remains nice and behaves well. Big is beautiful there. The BN2 Islander is another rugged and a very modern one but as I see your limitations concerning the size of the plane, it might stay out of competition too.Really hard to match your criteria if the Beaver is too big and it shouldn't be a taildragger too.
December 19, 201015 yr Despite being a twin, Aerosoft's Twin Otter is a pretty good rough field performer and providing you don't overload it, it can get in and out of pretty small strips. nobody should be without that one in their hangar.Alternatively, how about a helicopter? Cera's Bell 212 Twin Huey will do 120 knots, can haul a massive payload and can of course land on a sixpence. Or even better, Nemeth's Hughes MD500 will do over 150 knots and can land on half a sixpence, being very easy to control and with a fantastic flight model.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

December 19, 201015 yr The 206 is also on sale at $20, comes in float, Amphibian and wheels.... Al Stiff
December 19, 201015 yr If it has to be small, then I wonder why no one mentioned the Duke yet ;-)But my Vote also goes for the Twin Otter. I love this plane for Bush Flying, you get so many different configurations in one Package and the Sound is superb. But it is big, and that seems to be a no-go for you.
December 19, 201015 yr Flight1 PC-12, one of the most underrated addons out there. So much fun flying from small strips then jetting up to FL260
December 19, 201015 yr Author The Cessna C206 is looking quite nice and she´s fitting my criterias very well, but does she have an AP? On some longer routes I like it having the help of the AP. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
