FS9's King Air 350

Featured Replies

does anyone have any plans of making a new aircraft model (just the model only) to replace the default one on FS9?I have read posts from several people here about their... um... complaints about the default 350... which they (Microsoft/ACES) only corrected on FSX...I do have, however a copy of FSX, but I'm not installing it yet because I still use FS9, and all of the addons I have are for that version (I'm also designing sceneries for FS9 recently)...I've tries to reach out to AFG... they said there is a chance their 300 can be stretched to the 350 (they do have the same engines, and I think the revisions will be simple, except maybe for the new textures, as they stated)... but the AFG forum has been generally inactive for quite sometime... (though they still work on their Caravelle, albeit silently)I've just been rated for First officer on the real 350 a little over a year ago... and its been frustrating for me to not have a decent looking 350 on the sim for me to practice on, while other airplanes have been given the makeover they so much deserve... except for the very airplane I'm flying...AFG's 300 was, however, a bit of relief... as they replicated the real one very well, especially on the virtual cockpit, that it is close enough for me to practice procedures using the official QRH...so... anyone thinking, or willing to give this airplane a well deserved remake? doesn't need to be as good as the AFG, but close enough shape-wise (a new VC will be very nice also)... and can be repainted so that all sides can have different markings (I tried to repaint the default one... and it became apparent that I cannot use different letterings on the left & right sides, as well as top & bottom, because the model only uses one or two sides to cover the whole airplane... which is such a pain in the *** ) I can provide references to the one willing... (privately of course, since we'll be dealing with copyrighted material...)Beechcraft-King-Air-350.jpgthanks much for reading guyshans

The Aeroworx Kingair B200 is excellent

I agree it would be nice to have a proper 350 I myself have flown it several times. The AFG is great could be streched and added winglets, the Aeroworx needs work with the trim issues and I uninstalled the default long ago.

thanks much for the responses :( I do have the Aeroworx B200 (and there are B200s here in our Gen Av area... but the 350s are now the most numerous here...), but haven't installed it yet because its not the king air model I'm flying ... but I do will install it later when I clear some HD space...I sure hope the AFG team will look into this in the future...

Wow, that is dicipline for sure, there is NO WAY that i could purchase an add-on and not even give it a run, as soon as I get a new bird it is run through its paces almost immediately.p.s. i laso have the aeroeorx b200, but suffer from the trim issue also, never did find a fix for it, and as i understand it it is only a select few that suffer with this issue

hahaha! :( I do want to try it out, but probably after I finish my scenery project. Aeroworx did a fine job specially on the EFIS... which I can use to maintain proficiency... Batting%20Eyelashes.gif thanks for pointing out the trim issue, I'll look for that after I install it later :( cheers!

Well to be clear about the trim issue regarding the Aeroworx B200. On normal flights flying to normal airports, it fly's like a beauty. But Take FlyTampa's TFFJ for example. I perform the approach perfectly every time with every prop aircraft I have but with the B200 it's just impossible to flare the aircraft for that approach. Otherwise, I love the Aeroworx B200.

its not so much a flaring issue, but when i give it one notch of trim, the aircraft trim moves about 5 notches so results in a massive nose up or down situation. But it definetly is an awesome aircrafy.

If you have the registered version of FSUIPC I think you can sort that out - there's a setting for control acceleration or something.

i use regietered copy of fsuipc, its actualy the first isuue that i couldnt overcome in all my time of fs'ing

I must be confusing it with something else then, sorry for the misinformation!

Actualy, my mistake teeps, i bought the registered copy of fsuipc well after fidiling with the aeroworx, so maybe ill give it a try again in the future.

<bump> so any takers to do an updated model? just the model (and textures, plus VC if it can be done too...) only, the other items (panel, sound, aircraft.cfg, etc) can be left out... thanks much P.S. it seems that the AFG website just recently went offline... I was prepping my references for them too... I hope its temporary...
