December 22, 200916 yr The groundcomm.gau (or whatever it is called exactly :( ) error message has been really annoying me and shattering the ultimate realism when the flight 1 atr and FS2CREW are combined. After strolling through the forum - i found this was fixed by a user by disabling Active CameraAll Camera style addons for FS2004for example:Active CameraDBS Walk and Follow (what i was using)FS Cameraetcthese affect the use of this specific gauge - so i did some testing - i installed each product, disabled them(when i had dbs installed, i moved the main dbs folder, tried FS2CREW again and VOILA!(I only had one cam style addon on at once!!!)I have tested this with the above and will continue to test similar addonsSo Bryan I think you can add this as a possible fix - your choice, I'm going to try on seperate PC's to see if the same results occur.I'm now flying happily alongside my FSCREW friends without any errors in sight - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh :( :( thanks guys!
December 23, 200916 yr Commercial Member Hi,Thanks for the report. You can also add FFRAPS to that list. How those it conflict with the gauge is something I don't know, but the important thing is that ensuring they're not running works should this happen to you.Best, B. January 9, 201016 yr Hi to all,I experience this problem since I changed my PC. For me, it's the FS2crewseatbeltCL.gau file that can't be loaded.I have now windows 7. I discovered that it is TrackIR v5 that generate this error.Notice that when I was running FS9 under windows XP and TrackIR v4, never had a similar error.Good week-end to all.Hubert
March 13, 201115 yr Is there anyway of fixing this conflict with TrackIR on the seatbelt gauge? I reinstalled FS2Crew this morning and suffered three guages not loading.I tried disabling TrackIR and all sorts of other programs and services, but had the same problems. Three or four gauges give the problem: groundcomms, seatbeltCL, Stand and takeoffdatacard. (Can't remember the exact names, hopefully that is close enough that you know what I mean). This is on Win7 x64, so I wonder if that's the problem - maybe something permissions related?

March 13, 201115 yr Hi,Please use a program called 'end-it-all'.... shutdown all idle tasks, then load the ATR.One of the idle tasks is causing the conflict.Best,I'm using Gamebooster to shut down non-essential tasks, but I'll be more ruthless and kill off everything I can that won't shut down windows. I've got the errors down to only the groundcomms gauge by disabling my anti-virus - so I can run through most of the flows now.I'll report back if I can isolate the problem process.
March 13, 201115 yr Hi Bryan,I killed off everything except windows essential services and processes, but unfortunately it still didn't work. Do you know if anyone has succeeded with the FS9 ATR and Windows 7 x64, or is this a hopeless task? Thanks,Mark
March 13, 201115 yr Hi again Bryan,I take it back, I thought I had killed everything, but TrackIR 5 was still running in the background. If I keep TrackIR off until the ATR has loaded everything seems to work fine. This is a fine workaround, but is there any chance of you having a word with the people at Naturalpoint and seeing if this an easy fix somewhere for them? Thanks,Mark
May 19, 201115 yr Bryan,Is there another solution to this problem? I'm getting the same error with the takeoffdatacard.gau gauge, but I don't use any of those camera add-ons or TrackIR. I've used end-it-all to close all my unnecessary programs and processes. I have also reinstalled both the ATR and FS2Crew for the ATR. This is on Vista 64.Thanks for the help!
