Hi,I've always thought its because of the low FPS i seem to get but even when the FPS aren't an issue (30-35FPS) i still get white textures on AI Aircraft when looking left/right etc. I can look right one minute then again a minute later and i still have to wait for FS to reload the AI textures. I've tried messing around with TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT values but it doesn't seem to make much difference.Anybody any ideas, surely it must be possible to eliminate the loading time and just have the textures load instantly, especially when the FPS are high, i could understand it if it only happened when they were low, but it doesn't...Thanks,Nat

It is probably video card memory related. You can try adding the bufferpool tweek. That reserves a specified amount of ram sorta like a reserve for things like that. With a 256 card you could try a setting of 8000000. THe default is 4000000. I wouldnt go higher than 12000000.

Slow loading of textures happens when your computer doesn't have the power to handle FSX settings. This has happened to me in large airports with a lot of AI. Options are reduce scenery and AI sliders, lock framerate at 20, upgrade/overclock computer. Is this FS9 or FSX?Nevermind. I guess it's FS9, and I don't feel you should be having this problem.ArtBiostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX(SP1-SP2), Audigy SE sound, Vista Home Premium 32 bit, CH Yoke & Pedals, 22" WS LCD monitor

I used to run FSX on a 7800GT 256 just like you. And I ran a similar speed cpu.The things you are seeing are because the vid mem is filling up, and the sys is unable to push the textures through sufficiently. Moving to a machine like I have now, and these issues are gone 95% of the time.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.80 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT

I had a 6600GT 128MB graphics card for FS9 and didn't have this problem. I only have it in really extreme scenery situations with FSX using a 320MB video card.ArtBiostar TF560-A2+, Athlon 64X2-6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce 8800GTS-320MB, 500W PSU, 250GB HD, FSX(SP1-SP2), Audigy SE sound, Vista Home Premium 32 bit, CH Yoke & Pedals, 22" WS LCD monitor
