Get the GTX280. The HD4870 does not cut it in FSX, although it is fine in Crysis. Cheers,Noel.

I'm with JIMJAM here.The raw power of the 4870 will give you better image quality especially with higher resolution monitors as you will be able to set more demanding filtering.From what I've read, seems everyone agrees the nVidia 8800 GTX will give you the highest FPS.So what's best for you depends on whether you value image quality more than FPS or viceversa.Cheers,jahman.

Considering the price get the 4870. Save that extra money for the newer cards that will be coming out in the next few months. I had a 260 and sent it back. Tired up the nVidia driver locking up FSX when accessing the menu items, plus the 260 had some weird polygon displays.
