November 17, 200817 yr I have just got mine installed. Just waiting on a CPU now. Man is it huge. I thought I would get a Gigabyte card to match the motherboard thinking they would make a board that is compatible with the graphics cards they make but unfortunately no.The card sits directly over two of the 6 SATA ports rendering them unusable. It also is hard up against two of the other 4 putting slight side pressure on the card. Thats gives me just 2 ports for my RAID0 disks, 1 port for my Blue Ray DVD, and 1 port for the external connector.--- John John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 17, 200817 yr Pick up 2 90 degree SATAII cables which should work. They will be tight with the card over them but they will work between the card and the board.
November 20, 200817 yr Nice suggestion but didn't work. I already had two 90 cables that came with the motherboard. Unfortunately the ports are configured so that it you put a 90 degree cable in either of the ports it covers the other port up so there is only 1 port available from the 2.---John John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit

There's no magic fix here. I recommend you do the latter, since shorter graphics cards in this era are going to be of an entirely different performance category and unlikely to satisfy your needs.
November 20, 200817 yr Not going to do either. The MB is brand new and brought specifically for its features. I don't think it would help anyway as they all seem to put things in the same place these days anyway. The video card was brought the smae reason.I have enough SATA ports for now but if I want to expand the RAID0 to more drives or different type I will be out of luck. There is 1.5TB of storage there now so I should be right. It's just my Blueray DVD also uses a SATA port.----John John VeldthuisSpecs: ASUS X79-DELUXE | Intel Core i7-5960X Extreme @ 4.2Ghz | Gigabyte GeForce GTX980 | 32GB Ram | Cooler Master HAF 932 case | ASUS PB279Q, 4K UHD, 27" Monitor | Windows 8.1 | Segate 2x2TB 7200rpm drives, SanDisk 2x256GB SSD| Corsair Hydro Series H105, Watercooling kit
November 20, 200817 yr I understand the problem now. You have 2 plugs horizontal and not vertical behind the card preventing the 2nd plug from working. It
