i am using a 9800GTX+ in my system and have had no problems with it at all. it runs well, the graphics look great, so i could recommend it.

The 8800 GTS (assuming you mean the 512MB model) and the 9800 GTX/GTX+ have the same graphics chip. The only difference is the clockspeed these chips run at. Technically the GTX+ model has a shrunken version of that chip which allows it to run at higher speeds, but it's still the same chip (no new features, no changes other than size).
