November 21, 200817 yr Some people recommend one. Other people - another.Which one is good - and for what?Thanksoleg
November 21, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi OlegFor FSX I would go with the 9800GTX+ if I were you. The very high core and shader clocks help a great deal. Good prices as well.See http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/radeon-hd-48...w-31433-22.htmlfor more details.GTX260 (with 216 cores) also provides pretty good bang for your buck. The Radeon 4870 will be a good bet if you are going to be playing a lot of other games besides FSX.Konrad Konrad
November 25, 200817 yr i am using a 9800GTX+ in my system and have had no problems with it at all. it runs well, the graphics look great, so i could recommend it.
November 26, 200817 yr The 8800 GTS (assuming you mean the 512MB model) and the 9800 GTX/GTX+ have the same graphics chip. The only difference is the clockspeed these chips run at. Technically the GTX+ model has a shrunken version of that chip which allows it to run at higher speeds, but it's still the same chip (no new features, no changes other than size). It goes like this:9800 GTX+ > 9800 GTX > 8800 GTS 512 > 8800 GTS 640 > 8800 GTS 320
