Flight Gear 1.0.0 has been released. check out www.flightgear.org to get sources and binaries for many platforms.A full scenery rebuild seems to be in progress, as some of the airport locations have changed and the scenery does not yet reflect that.

I ordered the disc(s). $50.00 to $60.00. I'm not downloading.Anyone have it? It looks VERY nice from a screenshot perspective. Much like "Orbiter".Pretty cool what a bunch of like minds can accomplish over 5 or so years!Anyway...anyone got it? I tried the initial download for a few minutes and it seems like a really nice job. Pretty smooth - I'm running on my Mac, a dual 2-gig G5.That said, it appears their scenery server is down :( so I can't comment on my home area, Philadelphia...Reminds me a bit of X-plane, actually. Nice apparent head movement in the cockpit as well.cheersAndrew

Oh... I should mention, too... point lights are used in Flight Gear and while they're not dense, they really add to the feel of flying at dawn/dusk/night!-A
