Couple of questions about Photoshop...

so I figure why not ask the guys who use it most. Just two simple questions about Adobe Photoshop CS2 (hopefully):1. - How does one set a default folder for where I want to save my work? I have checked Edit-Preferences, but see no place to set a path. Somewhere else?2. - I use the Magic Wand Tool a lot. But how do you turn it off? Selecting another tool does not work. Seems t have a mind of its own as to when it is highlighting something and when it is not. Some hotkey perhaps?Thx

Hey there :)Not sure if you can do the first one. With my CS2 it defaults to the desktop when opening and saving. If you then save something in a session when opening it'll default to that location. Saving doesn't though.. For your second question, press Crtl+D. Its the keyboard shortcut for deselecting the current selection. Works with any kind of selection.Edit:Its also under Select across the top, second one down.

1.When you "save" a photoshop file it will automatically save back to the same directory from which it was opened.Use the "save as" command and you will be able to set the name and directory you wish the file to be saved to. This directory will then remain as the default directory for the "save as" command until such time as you select a new directory for the "save as" command. This default directory is memorised even if you exit and reboot Photoshop.I'm sorry it it sounds a bit like double dutch but if you do it a couple of times you'll soon get the hang of it. It's really quite simple.2.To exit the magic wand first select the rectangular marquee and then left click the mouse anywhere on the image.

or right click and select "deselect"
