June 7, 200619 yr I was wondering if it's possible to paint an aircraft with the paint program. Is this possible?
June 8, 200619 yr If you're talking about MS Paint, it is theoreticallypossible but I'd advise not to. MS doesn't offer any tools, anti aliasing, layers.. I'd say its best to find a cheap slightly older Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. Ebay is usually a good place for this. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
June 9, 200619 yr Hallo guys,Doing repaints with MS Paint is hardly an option as Morgan already stated.Nevertheless we can do excellent repaint work with a program based on MS Paint but enriched with very many features normally presented by expensive payware .It`s called PAINT DOT NET = Paint.NetPaint.NET ..........................http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ Working with layerfiles is no problem a Plugin for PSD files (Photoshop)is available here...........http://frankblumenberg.de/doku/doku.php?id=paintnet:psdplugin Place the plugin (PhotoShop.dll) in C:programfiesPaint.NetFileTypes, That`s all. It`s good and it`s free.RegardsLeen " Flybike" de Jager(Moderator and re-paintinstructor "Dutch Flightsimulator Site" HollandPainter and developer "ROTW-Simvol-FLY!" June 10, 200619 yr There is actually this post already here:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=86&mode=full ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
June 11, 200619 yr Good morning Morgan.Yes, I know, I also mentioned this in my first post.My main purpose for posting on this topic was to give some attention to Paint.NET wich was not mentionend on the Avsim Tool Kit.RegardsLeen
June 11, 200619 yr Morning Leen ;)Good point, I did actually have a look at that a fair while ago and remember being pretty impressed with it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
February 12, 200818 yr I just started doing (learning how) repaints using PaintDotNet.Paintdotnet is one powerful (free) program as Leen said it would be.The Level-D repaint kit has PhotoShop images... I used IrfanView to load the Photoshop image and convert it to windows bmp.So, I had problems because all of the layers were flattened after loading into Paintdotnet. This plugin permitted me to properly load Level-D images from Level-D's repaint kit directly into paintdotnet with all "layers" visable. One 'powerful" plugin for Paintdotnet!>Hallo guys,>>Doing repaints with MS Paint is hardly an option as Morgan>already stated.>>Nevertheless we can do excellent repaint work with a program>based on MS Paint but enriched with very many features>normally presented by expensive payware .>>It`s called PAINT DOT NET = Paint.Net>>Paint.NET>..........................http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ >>Working with layerfiles is no problem a Plugin for PSD files>(Photoshop)is available >here...........http://frankblumenberg.de/doku/doku.php?id=paintnet:psdplugin>>Place the plugin (PhotoShop.dll) in>C:programfiesPaint.NetFileTypes, That`s all. >>It`s good and it`s free.>>Regards>>Leen " Flybike" de Jager>(Moderator and re-paintinstructor "Dutch Flightsimulator Site">Holland>Painter and developer "ROTW-Simvol-FLY!"
