How to make the spec.dds file?

Featured Replies

As title, can anybody give me suggestion?I had made the c172_T.dds, a new paint about FSX C172, using photoimpact, but had no idea how to convert it to be the c172_T_spec.dds.........Thanks a lot!

I have a feeling there would be specific information in the FSX SDK.. unfortunately I can't get at it as I don't have FSX Deluxe.. :)

"It looks like its just a grey-layer overlay. In PhotoShop it's a grey, Multiply Layer"Here's a repaint screenshot (I changed the color to red for demonstration purposes) using the method I have previously described.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171671.jpgFor those who find it useful -- others may ignore.
