May 25, 200719 yr Hi all. Quick question - When applying N numbers on a plane (U.S.) one can get the numbers to lean to the right for left side applications without a problem. How can one get the numbers to lean to the left for the right side of the plane? Thanks! :)Don
May 25, 200719 yr The tool you're looking for is called the "Skew" Tool, its usually part of the transform suite of tools in the program :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
May 25, 200719 yr Alltough Morgan`s answer is correct, there is something I would like to add to his answer.Using "skew" works perfect except for quiet small texts.Consider a registration on a Cessna to be small in my point of view.If you want to make a registration look smooth (without saw-teeth )do this.Make the text you want to place on the plane and then enlarge it extremely.( lets say ten times its size.)Or make it the huge size right from the start. Then let "skew" do its work and after that resize the skewed text to the original (desired) measures. Now you`ll get a smooth anti-aliased text.Leen de Jager
May 25, 200719 yr Author Thanks, Leen. That makes sense. Let the resize take care of the jaggies. Good thought. I appreciate it!Don
May 31, 200719 yr Do all the text work on vector layer, that way skewing it doesnt have that many adverse effects.
May 31, 200719 yr Text-work on a vector layer works perfect indeed. But in case of copying the registration from a planes left side and reversing the angle of the characters to use this on the right side I am afraid a vector layer doesnt help much.Leen
