I use version VII for many years and that works fine.Version XI is much newer and I think it will do perfectly too.DXT3 supported? I have ver X2. It will not read DXT format. Have to use DXTBmp or FSPaint to convert them.

Rick,Thanks for the information.I will probably get Paint Shop Pro Photo X2.From reading the posts it should do all the basics ok (alpha channels etc) ... enought to get me started repainting.

Oh yes it will.I never create alphalayers as an alphalayer IN Paintshop.Adding alphas to the final BMP with DXTBmp I prefer.The cheapest solution is downloading Paint.net , that`s an open source/freeware painting program wich is very suitable for repainting.There are many plug-ins for this program doing nice tricks.http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/Leen
