Hello,I finished the IFR DEMO from Kansas City to Omaha. Things went well. Some things that could enhance the experience are:(1) Request Higher and Lower Altitudes,(2) Altemiter checks. On the this particular flight I was pretty given a straight in, instead of a standard 30' intercept for the ILS.I was handed off to Tower, and dialed in the frequency, but never prompted to contact tower. The FS ATC method is that you can contact tower, once the ILS approach clearence has been read back. I wasn't prompted to contact and report current position. I assume once I was close enough, the tower actually cleared me to land.Typically, I contact tower and report position (FS ATC does this) once I become established and tracking the Localizer. FS ATC gives you a clearence to fly straight in and about 5 miles out, on Final, clears you to landThe VOXATC method is probably just a variation and may be OK.If it were $30 USD I would probably buy it, but at 57 USD with the GBP conversion, I have to debate and justify it more. Thanks!Barry

>(1) Request Higher and Lower Altitudes,I thought you could do that - even in the standard FS9's ATC.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

FS ATC you can. VOX ATC I am not sure??Barry

You can also request higher or lower enroute altitudes with VoxATC. Just state: " request lower/higher altitude" or press the "0" key to get all the available options in the prompter.RegardsDom
