March 29, 200521 yr I've been very impressed with VOX ATC.Just wondering if anyone has been using it with helicopter flying. It seems to work well on the ground, but I get routed way out of the way for approaches.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.Slugger
March 29, 200521 yr Hi Slugger,Glad you are enjoying VoxATC and very neat that you are using it flying helicopters ;). Improving VFR operating realism is on the list of things being worked on for a future update. In the meantime you can ask for a full IFR approach which might work by eliminating all the vectoring after your initial approach fix, you can also try asking for a visual approach to your landing runway which should bring you in a little closer to the airport.Hope this helps,Zane Dr Zane Gard Sr Staff Reviewer AVSIM Private Pilot ASEL since 1986 IFR 2010 AOPA 00915027 American Mensa 100314888
