Hi Fellow King Air Drivers! Does anyone have a way to program RNAV departures? RNAV approaches are available in the autopilot. Thanks in advance. Slugger

Anyone out using RC with Norton Internet Security?I'm trying to figure out how to write the various rules so that RC andNorton Internet Security will work together. There's a pinned post aboveabout this, but it's not quite specific enough.Modifying rules for the .exe portion of RC is pretty easy, but the post abovementions also modifying Norton Internet Security so that the local host also workswith RC.Thanks in advance.Slugger

Error 75 Radar Contact and Kapersky, and Norton
slugger replied to jd's topic in Radar Contact Support Forum
For those of us who have less technical expertise, could you give us a step-by-step guide for eliminating the Norton Anti-virus runtime 75 errors?I think I've played around enough with Norton to be able to write the rules required for the .exe part of the equation. What I'm not sure of is how to write the rules in Norton for the local host to work properly. Thanks in advance.Slugger -

Here's the answer. Found this comment from Brian York on the FS2Crew Avsim forum:Special reminder note:If you re-install the PMDG 737 aircraft, the PMDG installer will overwrite the gaugesound.dll with an older version (different from the one the non-FS2Crew 2010 versions require). So, if after re-installing the PMDG 737 aircraft itself, you're finding that your FS2Crew enabled Level-D 767, ATR, PMDG 747, etc., are crashing, it's because of the old version of the gaugesound.dll that the PMDG 737 installed. The easy solution is to run the FS2Crew Start Center and click the button that says "RESTORE GAUGESOUND.DLL".That will re-update your GaugeSound.dll with the required FS2Crew version.Again, this only applies to FS2Crew releases prior to the 2010 Voice Commander versions.Cheers,Bryan Yorkwww.fs2crew.com

I've been experiencing Runtime 52 and Runtime 75 errors, specifically, on flightsfrom Burbank KBUR to Palm Springs KPSP.jd has suggested I might want to make sure my firewall has been set to "trust" RC.I think I've made the right changes to the firewall settings, but I am still getting the errors. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.Slugger

They work great together. I use Radar Contact with FS2Crew and Flight 1 ATR, FS9.If you sample the Radar Contact voices, you can get a fairly close match between theRadar Contact voices and the FS2Crew voices.Get 'em both. They're a ton of fun. Great support from Bryan York and jd, too!Slugger

I'm trying to create a .log file using Debug. In FS9, I'm getting the Runtime 75 error (fsuipc.rcv4code)Once you've created the .log file, where does Radar Contact store it? Thanks in advance.Slugger

Hi Bryan! Thanks for the reply. The suggestion works great. I enjoy flying non precision approaches because theyinvolve a bit more skill than simply catching the glide slope. Thanks again for taking the time to answer.Slugger

When I attempt a Localizer Approach, the callouts I get are out of sequence. ILS approaches work just fine. Here's the sequence I follow:On the Approach Briefing Page, the STAR is set to Generic ILS, approach type is NP LOCAs the localizer comes alive, I generate the "Localizer alive" call with a click of the ASI.The next click on the ASI is garbled, with a couple of different callouts together, but I end up with flaps at 15, and no gear down. Turing the autopilot off, generates the "standby mode, set go-around altitude" call.Once I've lowered the gear, the next ASI click generated the "contact landing" call.Over the threshold, a couple of calls happen: "Gear 30" "Before Landing Checklist"Just wondering what part of the sequence I'm doing wrong.By the way, these are short flights in the KLAX area, using Radar Contact, so perhapsFS2Crew needs a longer enroute segment for the program to work properly. Thanks in advance.Slugger

Where does RC obtain ILS frequencies? On an approach ILS 27 EHAM, my chart says 110.55 . . . but RC wanted 110.50.Does this type of info come from a currently installed AIRAC cycle, or some other database?Kinda curious to know. Thanks in advance.Slugger

Squawkbox 4 working with some aircraft but not others
slugger replied to slugger's topic in FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)
I finally gave up on SB4 Beta, and decided to reinstall SB3. I also reinstalled FS2 Crew ATR along with the Flight 1 ATR.When installing FS2 Crew, and Flight 1 ATR, you have to be careful to install them in the proper sequence,as there are a couple of updates required. The sequence is: Flight 1 ATR, then FS2 Crew, then FS2 Crew update, then Flight 1 ATR update.Anyway, all are working well together now.Best,Bruce Beattie -

slugger replied to slugger's topic in FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)
Thanks for getting back to me.I suspect this won't be a problem once SB4 is out of Beta testing. In any case, keep up your great work. Can't tell you how much FS2 Crew has enhanced my flightsim experience.Best,Slugger -
Squawkbox 4 working with some aircraft but not others
slugger replied to slugger's topic in FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)
Well, I guess I've stumbled on a work-around, even though I'm not sure why it works. In the SB4 window, I go to "Options" --> "Sounds" --> (bottom of page) "Restore Defaults".Now I can transmit, although I have to do this everytime I boot up the ATR.Thanks for the reply.Slugger -
Small question about storing Com/Nav Frequencies
slugger replied to slugger's topic in FS2CREW: FLIGHT 1 ATR (FS9)
Hi Bryan!I'm not having any problems, just drilling down into the finer details of the ATR,now that I've had a lot of experience with it. Gotta say once again just howmuch FS2 Crew enhances the experience.Best,Slugger -
I'm thingking of adding a second hard drive and am wondering how to transfer all my flight sim stuff to it:Uninstall/Reinstall . . . or . . . Transfer Everything Directly SomehowI use lots of add-on stuff with FS9, so with all the settings required, I'd rather not have to uninstall/reinstall everything. Also, I don't know if reinstalling FS9 etc. to a different drive means I have to re-register or whatever is required when you install stuff for the first time. Thanks in advance,Slugger

I haven't used VoxATC in a while, so I have a quick question:How do you use VoxATC with add-on aircraft that have to be loadedon top of the default Cessna? Aeroworx King Air and Flight 1 ATR come to mind.Do I create a .pln file with the default Cessna, and then load the add-on aircraft? With the Aeroworx King Air, you have to load the default Cessna at Seattle, thengo to your actual airport. The ATR has a similar load procedure, so I'm wonderinghow this works with VoxATC.Thanks in advance.Slugger

My experience is that RC works great with FS2Crew.I've used it with Level-D 767 and the Flight 1 ATR.Best,Slugger
