February 4, 200620 yr Hi Bryan,I made a flight from TTPP to TJSJ tonight, about 580nm. When I triedto inform the FA to ready cabin for decent I could not get the decentbutton to work. She did inform me that the cabin was ready for landing passing 7000 ft. This was my first non tutorial flight andeverything worked then. I tried about 5 times to tell her to ready the cabin but could never make cotact with her. Cheers
February 4, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Skyhog,Did you tell her before reaching the Top of the Drop?Did you click ATTD on the Overhead to call the FA so you could tell her about the upcoming descent? This is the only thing I can think of.EDIT: The only other possibility is that a TOD was not correctly computed on the VNAV page.Hope that's of some help,Bryan B. February 5, 200620 yr Howdy Bryan,I tried calling the FA about 60nm before TOD according to FMC. I think this might be the problem. I hit the mech button instead if theatt button, realized my mistake and then hit att button. Do you thinkthis might have been the problem? I could not get the mech button to return to normal after that mistake.Cheers
February 5, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Skyhog,The Mech button wouldn't cause it. Although it shouldn't make a difference, try calling the FA closer in.Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
February 7, 200620 yr Hi Byran,I am using RC4 and they always start your descent early. Would it be possible to contact FA after the descent has started. Not very realistic tho. On the other hand, could it be done after the FO givesyou the data card? Company gets mad when they have to pay for all thosecleaning bills. :-rollCheers
February 7, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Skyhog,You should install the SP1.3 Public Beta. I made a few data edits so the FO hands you the Landing Card much sooner. This is good for RC4 users such as yourself. To answer your question, yes you can still contact the FA after you've started the descent. He says something like: "Sorry for the late notice, but we've started our descent."Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
February 9, 200620 yr Hi Bryan,Yep, I do have the service pack and I like the FO giving the card sooner. I'll try fideling around a bit to see how close I can comebefore descent. Will keep you posted. Thanks
