February 9, 200620 yr Manual says, that white bug on altimeter is used for Arrival Runway Touchdown Zone Elevation (TDZE) and red bug for DA.For VOR-DME approach at rwy 10 at LKTB there is TDZE 764 ft and DA 1090 ft. How to bug TDZE and DA on altimeter corretly in this case?
February 9, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi,Set the Red Bug to 90 feet. (If memory serves correct you'll have to move the white bugs below 90 feet). Then select 1000 for the additive on the Approach Page to create the MDA: 1000 + 90 = 1090 feet. From the manual (Page 85).About Setting the DA, DDA or MDA with the Red-Bug:On a CAT 1 ILS approach we would set the Red Bug on the altimeter to the DA. For example, if the DA is 300 feet you would set the Red Bug to 300 feet. If the DA is 2650 feet you would set the Red Bug to 650 feet (FS2Crew automatically determines the runway elevation in thousands from the FMC and adds that to the Red Bug setting in 100 B.
