March 22, 200620 yr Hi,I would like to know, in the official procedure, when the Departure Clearance call is made in real life.I suppose it should be before setting up the FMC or right after, to enter the departure. Now, the problem is that it might get mixed up with the first officer coming back from his walkaround ?So for those who use it with Radar Contact or online, when do you make the call ?Thanks,Olivier
March 22, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hello Olivier,A good time would be after you call company to tell them you're ready for boarding.Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 24, 200620 yr Hi Byan,Thanks for your response. I would have though the call had to be made before setting up the FMC, in case the planned departure cannot be done for whatever reason.Happy flying,Olivier
March 24, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hello Oliver,There is no hard and fast rule on anything. You can call for the clearance whenever you're comfortable with it.That time I suggested is what was mentioned in the script my ATR consultant pilot gave me.Cheers,Bryan B.
