September 13, 200619 yr Bryan:Hi. I'm the proud owner of FS2Crew 767 and ATR Editions and love them. My question, however, has to do with the 737 Default/PMDG edition which I don't own.My little brother (he's not so little, actually) is still a relative newb to flightsimming: mostly flying "light" commercial jet packages instead of the more complex ones (i.e., PMDG, LDS, PSS, etc.) as well as the default aircraft. He really finds FS2Crew rather fascinating every time he sees me fly with it; however, he's also indicated it's a bit too complex for him at this stage. I told him there was an edition for the default 737, which he flies, so we took a look at the website pages on it, but really didn't find the answers we were looking for.My question is: since it's now a few years older, is the FS2Crew for the DEFAULT 737 quite a bit easier to understand in terms of flow, responses required, etc.? Is it as detailed as the 767 edition? If you suggest that it *might* still be overly complex for a newbie, would you recommend FS2Crew "Lite" for the Cessna 172 for my brother?Thank you for any insight you can provide. Again, fantastic products, and looking forward to turning on someone else to the concept.
September 13, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,Easiest version is the 172 version; it's very simple. After all, there, is only so much you can do in 172.Next easiest is the default 737; it's basically just the PMDG 737 version converted to work with the default 737. Only real difference is that the FO doesn't turn on packs, etc., because the default 737 doesn't have packs, etc.Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 13, 200619 yr Bryan:Awesome. Thanks for the response. I think I'll swing him over to the FS2Crew Lite first; I really think he'll like it and it won't overload him with too much at the outset. Thanks again for your advice!
