737 Purchase

Featured Replies

I hope this is the right forum to post this question. I haven't purchased either the 737NG or 737-800/900 package yet. This might be a stupid question, but do I need to buy the 737NG package, and then upgrade, or is the 800/900 a complete "stand-alone" package ?

Hi,The 800/900 version is a complete stand-alone version. It works with your 800/900/600/700 models. You must own the PMDG 800/900 models though for this version. Also, before installing, ensure you have the latest PMDG updates installed, including the Optional Models Update.Cheers,Bryan

OK Thanks.I don't have any of PMDG's products as yet, I'd like to purchase either of the 737 packages (the 600/700 one looks best), but I don't know where to start.I originally thought the package included the various models. Do I have to buy these or the updates, and where do I get them ??

Hi,I strongly suggest buying the PMDG 737 version that includes the 800/900 models. It has the same 600/700 models you want built in.Shop around and you'll find that's probably the same price as the one that only includes the 600/700 models.Cheers,Bryan

I'm still mystified. I looked on the PMDG website at the details of the 800/900 package, under "Installation Requirements" it states that the 737 Next Generation must be purchased and installed first. Does this mean buying the 737NG package, and then the upgrade to the 800/900 series (in effect, purchasing 2 packages) ??
