September 21, 200520 yr Hi, I just purchased the 172 program and using the Flight 1 aircraft I am trying the tutorial. All installed fine and checklists/briefings working fine but when I started to taxy I noticed the sim is stuttering, every 1 second or so there is a pause, a sort of brief jerk. Stuttering occurs in all views.I switched to another aircraft on the taxy way (Real Air SF260) and the suttering is gone.Any ideas?CheersTim http://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
September 21, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hello Tim,That's interesting. All I can suggest is this:1. See if you can reproduce the stutter using the Default Cessna 172.If you can reproduce it, the only thing that I can think of is that perhaps your sound card drivers need to be updated. That's a wild guess. It's hard for me to say because you're the first to report any kind of stutter with the 172.Cheers,Bryan B. September 21, 200520 yr Hi BryanYes it happens with the default Cessna too, No other aircraft. I am at the moment trying the 737 to see if it happens with that as well.I just updated the sound card drivers a week ago so I somehow don't think thats the cause. I didn't reboot after the install, perhaps that has something to do with it.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
September 21, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Tim,Were your 172 panel.cfg's totally untouched from their original state before you installed FS2CrewLite?To successfully install, FS2CrewLite assumes that your 172 panel.cfg is in its original state. When did you last update your video drivers?Bryan B. September 21, 200520 yr Hi BryanYes, both cfg's untouched and video drivers are the ATI catalyst last updated about 3 weeks ago to 6.14.10.6553 Catalyst version 5.17.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
September 21, 200520 yr Commercial Member I think I may know what happened...Did you install the 172 "after" you installed the 737 or before? If not, re-install the 172 version again. No need to uninstall.Cheers,Bryan B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 21, 200520 yr BryanIt's happening with the 737 as well, it's like a hiccup every 2 seconds and happens in spot view as well.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
September 21, 200520 yr You know I can't remember which way round they were installed. I think it was the 172 first though, but as I said I am getting the same stutters with the 737 too.CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
