Start up situation

Featured Replies

Hi all,Is it possible to make FSX start where you last left flight sim? What I mean is; if I exit flight sim at a particular airport and parking spot; when I re start FSX, if I did not save that flight it goes to the default start up situation. In FS9, there was a setting to make where you left FS the start up situation. I cant find this setting in FSX.Am I missing something? Thanks.

Perhaps I did not explain properly.what i would like to do is be able to do is exit the sim without having to go into the menu and 'save' a flight, and when I re start FSX it starts up exactly where I left it.In FS9 under settings there is an option that said, 'Make Previous flight your startup situation' or something close to that. I am unable find this option in FSX. In FS9 I could be in the middle of a flight and press cntrl_c, and when I started the sim again my flight is exactly where i left it.Could someone point me to this option? In FSX i see an option under save flight to 'select this check box to load the current flight every time you start flight simulator' Thanks in advance.

Hi,I don't think this is possible in the demo; the Previous Flight is not a choice listed in the Flights (that I can find anyway). I assume it's in the beta though, and thus the advice given above is the correct one - there is NO option like you describe in FS2004. You load the flight called Previous Flight, and then check the Make this the Default Flight box.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Tom,All you say is true.I guess this option is gone in FSX as it is not available in the beta either. Thats a shame. I am surprised that no one has noticed this or even cares that this feature is no more. At least I have not seen anyone comment on this.

You can choose "Previous Flight" from there...

Bill, this option is not available to me.I have the LOAD button but there is no 'previous Flight' option.I have the flight planet beta.I am going to uninstall and re-install. Perhaps this option will then be available.I am curious to know if anyone else is having this problem.
