November 9, 200619 yr Hi all.Is there an addon pay or free that simulates an RNAV computer? Is there a panel that has this included one might try out? So many questions...I have been studying ground school books and came across this idea of RNAV. I have never heard of it in FS2004. Sounds most helpful when traversing open space.dolph
November 9, 200619 yr No ones done one currently. There was a payware Narco unit for FS2000 but I never could get in contact with anyone that had used it. A KNS81 was done on contract for one of the government offices in Europe but that is not available for sale or to the public... shame too, those of us that would like to use it can't even get our hands on it and the programmer can't use the code for a payware product because the development was on a paid contract and property of that government. November 9, 200619 yr Author Sounds like a challenge to a good programmer...GPS is making LORAN obsolete by what I've read and it could take RNAV as well. Do you think so?I do many flights with the GPS link to AP, but it might be more interesting to use another method of navigating. Perhaps I should try the stars. What about INS?dolph
November 9, 200619 yr Take a look at the Delco Ins by Gianfranco Corrias, a really outstanding piece of work and it's freeware. Delco Carousel INS System (http://www.simufly.com/ins/).Regards,Douglas
