Display Device in FS9 .cfg.

Featured Replies

Hi Gang,I just up-graded my graphics card to a Nvidia 7800, with 512MB on-board, and I am very impressed with it, I also threw in another gig of RAM to make it 2 Gigs.I have a question though, I am still seeing my old ATI X800 XT PE in the FS9 .cfg, and not the new card.I did re-set the display settings in FS9 for both monitors, and it showed them in the drop down list of the display devices in the options screen in FS, but the FS9 config file still shows the X800.is there any way of changing it, or doesn't it matter. Thanks,

Steve.

Unlike the British Government, I actually Learn from my Mistakes..........

Windows XP Professional SP3, ABIT IC7 MAX3 MotherBoard, Intel P4 3.40GHz HT, 4Gigs RAM, Hercules Digifire Sound Card, Geforce 7800GS 512RAM Graphics Card, FS9.1, REX, ASv6.5, GE pro.FE.

The best way is to rename FS9.cfg to FS9.bak or such and restart FS9.It will create a new FS9.cfg which should contain your new card.If you had custom modifications, you can copy the display section from the new FS9.cfg to the FS9.bak and name it back to FS9.cfg.That should do it.
