Meljet 777 Virtual cokpit question

Featured Replies

I have been downloading and using he Meljet 777 recently and nice they are to.BUT!When i am cycling through the views and get to virtual cockpit some of the models display nothing (which is fine thats what i want)but other models display not a VC but half a virtual cabin which you then have to move round with your hat switch to make it acceptable to look at.My question can i remove these cabin views completely i would rather have nothing at all.I have tried removing internal texture files but that just changes the virtual cabin views grey.Any thoughts please Cheers Andy

Virtual cockpits/cabins are coded into the model file, and thus are always there.I believe you can get rid of them by modifying the model file using a programme like a Hex editor, and some people succeed in doing so, but I assume this takes some knowledge of model files.Regards,Al.

maybe you know how to, you can try changing the alpha channels of the textures to black, so that they are totally transparent.

I had that same problem and I fixed it by making my own views. Here they are. Just get rid of your old [views] and insert these in their place. You also gain nice wingviews with these hee hee.1. Backup your panel.cfg2. Open the panel.cfg3. Locate the [views] section and delete it4. Paste this in its place & save the panel.cfg:Meljet 777-200------------------------------------------- [views ] VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_EYE=0.8, 0.0, -42.0VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 300VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_EYE=0.8, 0.0, -42.0VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=3.0, 0.0, 60VIEW_LEFT_EYE=3.2, -0.3, -32.0VIEW_LEFT_DIR=5.0, 0.0, 280VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=-1.6, -0.3, -32.0VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=5.0, 0.0, 80VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_EYE=3.40, 1.0, -013.0VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=12.0, 0.0, 130VIEW_REAR_LEFT_EYE=-1.7, 1.0, -013.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=12.0, 0.0, 230VIEW_REAR_EYE=-2.1, 1.0, -05.0VIEW_REAR_DIR=12.0, 0.0, 210-------------------------------------------Meljet 777-300-------------------------------------------[views] View_forward_left_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_left_dir=7.0, 0.0, 311View_forward_right_eye=0.8, 0.0, -54.0View_forward_right_dir=7.0, 0.0, 049View_left_eye=3.0, -0.3, -38.0View_left_dir=5.0, 0.0, 283View_right_eye=-1.5, -0.3, -38.0View_right_dir=5.0, 0.0, 77View_rear_left_eye=-1.7, 1.0, -14View_rear_left_dir=12.0, 0.0, 224View_rear_right_eye=3.10, 1.0, -14.0View_rear_right_dir=12.0, 0.0, 135View_rear_eye=-1.7, 0.5, -23.4View_rear_dir=2.0, 0.0, 270-------------------------------------------:)
