Downtown Los Angeles - Hi Res Photo Scenery File Description:This scenery contains high resolution ground scenery and buildings for Downtown Los Angeles. It is dedicated to the donators Tom, Frank, Kees and Michael. Thank You! The scenery contains about 500 custom buildings with all major downtown skyscrapers and many historical buildings. Try to land on some of the 80 landable rooftop heliports or on the giant LAPD Hooper Heliport! To get the most out of this scenery, explore it via helicopter at an altitude between 500 and 2.500 ft and at slow speeds (50kts is ideal). Coverage is about 6*6 km with a resolution of 1.2m/pix up to 0.3m/pix (4.7m/pix is standard). Currently FS2004 only. That's one of the pieces, that I don't want to complete because there's always something to improve. But now I HAVE to give it away. Otherwise i'll NEVER do it :-) Because of it's high degree of detail and the many buildings, the scenery is resource demanding. If you have framerate or texture-loading issues, try to disable the 0.3m/pix ground scenery by dialing 120.1 into NAV2. This reverts you to 1.2m/pix ground scenery only. If your computer begins to lag in loading textures, press pause and allow a few seconds for texture loading. I added buildings until I was down to 10fps on my more than 3yr old system in the most demanding areas. So I hope there is no problem for you. I have worked on this scenery for 2 years now (parallel to my other projects and with interruptions of course). So I hope, you enjoy it!
