May 14, 200719 yr Is there not a decent DC-10 panel anywhere on the web?I got a great plane, great sounds, but no great panels. Are there even any payware panels out there? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 14, 200719 yr There are good freeware panels but none with a virtual cockpit. I personally have been waiting for a good virtual cockpit. On the 25th of May justflight will release the CLS DC-10 on DVD. It will be available for $42.99, which in my opinion is a lot for a lite product. You can download it for $40 from the CLS site, but why not have it on DVD for a couple bucks more. This is the best option at this time for a DC-10 with a virtual cockpit. And a lot of money for a lite product. Hope this helps.
May 14, 200719 yr Author yeah 40 bucks hmmm, kinda high, looking at that VC...not fantastic, nice but not awesome, I was kinda hoping for a VC like the DF 727 or LevelD 767.... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 14, 200719 yr Would like one too!I currently fly with the aerosim DC-10 and love it!The panel is a bit outdated and not so functional, but it does the job for now.Looking at the CLS DC-10..myeah,don't know, there is something weird with the model's nose that i don't like. The DC-10 i'm waiting for is the Xsimulate one (link: http://www.xsimulate.net/index.php ).Still in development, but by the looks of it,it will be DF727/LVLD767 quality!GreetzSteven Steven Ghion Belgian Virtual Tigers
May 14, 200719 yr I'm a big fan of the tri-jets..... Trident, 727, DC-10, Tristar, MD-11. So far we've only had good panels available for the first two!I'd love a good Tristar panel... I've tried them all, Ken Mitchell's (the best IMHO), Omwings, Aerosim. None of them really did it for me.Last week I purchased the CLS DC-10 as I thought it looked like a nice package (even if it is a "lite" one). The panel isn't too bad, definitely the best DC-10 panel I've seen. It's still falls well short of what I want though. The quality of the background bitmaps isn't great, and the instruments don't look very well done either. Worse still, the GPWS is for FSX only. I took the aircraft for a quick blast around the circuit at my local airport. I loaded up the -30F and set it to 30% fuel. No sooner had I got the gear and flaps up I was rocketing through 5,000 ft and 300 knots! Hmmmm. It's a nice model though, with loads of beautiful liveries.Top of my list for "panels I want" are a good Tristar panel, either round gauge or tape, and a Northwest DC-10 panel with the digital engine and HSI displays.
