AI Sitting/Landing on Tail?

Featured Replies

I had an interesting observation the other day that I've never seen before.I flew into the default LAX and taxied to terminals. More than one AI plane was parked at the gate sitting on its tail! I then noticed a couple of other AI planes landing in the same attitude....nose straight up and sitting on their tails.Has anyone else observed this or does anyone know what could cause this?gwillmot

Hi,Yes, many of us have seen it. Try changing the time by a few minutes and see if that fixes it. If not (and is limited to a specific aircraft) then the contact points might have to be edited.--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

I had a similar problem and never got an answer. My AI helicopters were great at the beginning of the flight but were sunken to their bellies upon return to the airport. I did check the contact points but none were adjusted. All had the wheels at the correct levels at the beginning of my flight. Do the models morph over time? I guess they have to.

Hi,No, the airports do (i.e. their elevation as seen by AI aircraft). I've never seen a solution.BTW, if you load an airport in Slew mode this will often place AI aircraft at a different height/angle than if you are not in Slew mode.--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
