I have installed a new graphics card (Nvidia 6200 AGP - I still have an old setup) and suddenly I have a very strange framerate phenomenon:framerates constantly jump between approx. 5 and 50 FPS every 0.5 seconds i.e. 5 - 50 -5.2 - 51 - 5.5 - and so on. Always high - low and in this range - like a pendulum. Nothing else. It's driving me nuts already!!!Nothing else was changed and before I had 25 fps with all sliders to the right.Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I don't know why this could be happening but backup your FS9.cfg and then delete to create a new fresh one. This might help :)Regards,Alexhttp://www.cielosim.com/images/sig_alex.gif

Also being a new card and drivers and such, you may want to limit your FPS to say between 25 and 30. You will most likely get better results. In FS9, I keep my Framerate set at 29, and average around that depending on the situation. Unlimited setting in my rig would cause a big leap in FPS back and forth like you describe. Give it a shot. You will free up some resources as well by doing this. Every machine is different, so this may not help you, but I would say 60-70% it will. Hope this helps you :)

Thanks for the help - this glitch disappeared as mysteriously as it appeared. Must have been some kind of memory overload or fragmentation or just gremlins...Cheers,Sascha
