March 8, 200323 yr LOL, I heard that they are working on getting another server and till such time we have to go without it. I guess all that badwidth was slowing down Avsim's forums, and we can't have that!Best Wishes,Randy J. March 8, 200323 yr "badwidth" - good description of some of posts by the guys who couldn't (or wouldn't) read the forum rules on screenshot sizes :-) .Trip
March 8, 200323 yr Or who broke the spirit of the rules by posting endless replies to their own posts with 5 screenshots in each...Guys, we don't NEED 20+ screenshots of the cruise phase of your flight from London to New York.
March 8, 200323 yr Author I second that - there should be a rule of shots of yet another landing at LHR, JFK, etc. not exceeding the size of my screenshot...Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
March 8, 200323 yr Hey, :-bang I admit! I have gone printscrn happy durring crz. Sorry, sunset/sunrises are my favorites. But avsim says that limiting the posts to 5 pics per post saves bandwith, I'm no forum internet major type guy, but wouldn't that waste more space on the server since you HAVE MORE pics from some( no names). Well anyways, what ever avsim decides to do, there free service is absolutely fantastic, no questions asked! Am I right?"... AND I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!"[b/]
March 8, 200323 yr Not true Jeroen, the follow-ups are allowed by AVSIM, actually they have admitted that it's even in the spirit of the rules as users with slow connections can collaps all threads and only read parts they'd like to see!But I'm with you on the endless cruise shots part, people need to be more selective. I can't remember myself having made numerous follow-ups ... :-)Cheers!Michiel :-wavehttp://members.home.nl/mjagersma/pics/sig.jpg Location: 🇦🇺 Brisbane, Australia, 19.0dme YBBN 120.50 | Simulator: FS2024PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9800X3D ▸ MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk ▸ 2x16Gb G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB DDR5 ▸ GeForce RTX 5080 Palit GamingPro OC 16GB GPU ▸ 4TB Samsung 990 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD ▸ Corsair 1000W RM1000x SHIFT 80+ Gold ▸ MSI MAG401QR: 40" flat IPS ultrawide 3440x1440 155hz
