August 23, 200718 yr I bought the Maddog 2004 about a year ago, I merged it with JCA and all worked fine. I had installed V1.50 and the upgrade to v1.51I then wanted to make some space on my hard disk, so I de-installed the Maddog, using the de-install routine. Now I re-installed it: re-downloaded the installer files from the Lago page. I then also installed latest AIRAC by running the PMDG AIRAC install utility downloaded from Navigraph. But now, everytime I select the Maddog in the aircraft selection field in FS, FS crashes to desktop. THe same thing happens when I select a merged JCA plane. Crash to desktop. I have de-installed and re-installed several times, always the same result. I have not changed the default flight (Cessna at Seattle), and I have tested the MD80 without changing any settings, just select the plane. But also at other airports, other times of day the crash occurs. Also, worth to note that the JCA planes without the Maddog panel runs fine. Can anyone advise me what to do? Some possible explanations:1) Maybe the de-installation did not properly remove all the files that need removing? 2)Maybe there is a conflict with other planes? I also run the following add-on planes with their own panels:PSS A320, A330, A340, Dash8, B777, B757PMDG B737, B744, B1900Feelthere ERJ, B737Aerosoft ATR, AvroCLS A340-500, A340-600Ready-for-pushback B747-200Level D B767Fokker F70, F100as well as the CRJ panel fom SkyviewOn top of that, repaints from POSKY, Premieraircraft, Dreamfleet, etc. Is anyone aware of incompatibilities?3) Could it be something with the sound files? I have made the experience that FS crashes once the battery sound starts. 4) Incompatibilities with other add-ons? FSNav, AS6, sceneries, ...? But then, I had all of these installed already last time that Maddog worked without a problem.ThanksChris
August 23, 200718 yr You might try loading the Cessna at Seattle. Let it load all the way to ready to fly, then switch to the MD-80. That seems to work for me, and I am also having CTD on startup issues with the 2004 version. I suspect it may have something to do with the Navdata, as the MadDog has never been completely compatible with the PMDG data, even after running the conversion utility.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
