January 9, 200818 yr It's all back in business now. I'm anxiously awaiting the official cheyenne SP3 for FS9.:-jumpy Jason JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
January 10, 200818 yr I think they are getting rather harrassed over there, in addition to people nagging them about when and how the Fokker F70/100 is going to come out, they just issued beta versions of service packs for the Cheyenne in FS9 and FSX.Of course, people don't read "beta" and comments and questions relating to the FS9 and FSX are all mixed together. Plus people who don't RTFM are taking the opportunity to air longstanding gripes they probably created themselves.Makes your head spin just to read the forums, never mind administer them.I think their server has had the sort of crash you often get if you hit it with a sledgehammer.
January 10, 200818 yr Really?...hmmm...i don't think things are that bad over there. JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
January 10, 200818 yr Don't suppose there are many people over there are there?I just felt a bit sorry for them the other day - they were trying to help out in posts and then all of a sudden someone jumps right into the middle of it with various gripes - bit unneccessary.Mind you, public release of a beta test service pack might not have been a good idea - I held off installing it, have enough FS9 troubles without compounding it!

In DA's case I think the "pros" of releasing a public beta is so it gets more testing. I don't know if DA even has a beta team. They are not like bigger developers who have a much larger testing force and clientile. I think more testing helps to improve the quality of the final patch. But I didn't install the beta either. I figured I don't know this plane well enough to offer much help. So...I'm being lazy and waiting for the final release. :-) JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
