Problem with Sound Files

Featured Replies

Hello Mr Yorke,Firstly can i say thank you for such a realistic and thoroughly enjoyable add-on that yourself and your team have created, something i have been waiting to find for a long time.so i wonder if you could help me with a couple of what i hope are small snags.i purchased 747default a couple of days ago and i am running it on msvista and fsx my graphics card and sound card are more than capable unyet on loading up the tutorial flight the air con pack sound is on but when fully loaded the default engine sound overrides this,i didn't really mind at first but as i made my way through the checklists fsx started to crash on me,just wondered if this was related and if there is a solution.I have read the manual and tried everything that is suggested and scanned through this forum but with no luck. Hope you can help in some way. Many thanksAndy Marsh

Hello Andy,In FSX, there is an option to adjust the environment sounds. There is a slider that you can use to turn down the engine sound.Obviously the engine sound is drowning out the air con sound FS2Crew adds.As for your FSX crashes: We don't get many reports of crashes, so it's very tough to say what's causing (it could be a million different things ranging from scenery, to AI, to anything). FSX can be a bit finicky.Do you know how to run Event Viewer in Vista? That'll give you detail on what triggered the crash.Email me at:[email protected] me what the Event Viewer report says, then I'll be able to point you in the right direction.Cheers,Bryan
