Hi,DirectX 9 can co-exist with DirectX 10.Do a Google search on this; there is lots of commentary on this subject.So you can safely install DirectX 9 on Vista without doing harm to DirectX 10.I'd try that as the only thing I can think of is some kind of DirectX file issue.-Bryan
