June 11, 200817 yr Hi all, i'm a newbie so be patience if i said something wrong....:-)May anyone tell me how I can use FSX atc with FS2Crew ?In other words, if i charge a fligt plan FSX vector me to the final approach but if i follow FMC there are many difference...so i cant follow FSX atc... but in real world i know atc is very present !I'd like to have a flight more possible near real world..Thank for your help guys, and sorry again if i bother you. Anthony
June 11, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi Anthony,You could update your FMC on the fly as required to accommodate ATC.Or, if ATC starts vectoring you to final (common) you can just take the autopilot out of LNAV and go into Heading Select mode.Cheers,Bryan B. June 12, 200817 yr Thank you Bryan,I'll try that way but doing so i think I won't follow the STAR.I dont know if real life pilot usually follow ATC vectors or not but, if not, how can I simulate real flight obtaining clearance and dont being vectored ?In FSX seems that only vectored flights are allowed when u have a flight plan ! Hope I'm wrong. Thanks again. Cheers, Anthony
June 13, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi Anthony,There's no real cut and dry answer to this, other than to say it depends on the situation.ATC vectors are very common.I might suggest listening to live streaming ATC over the internet or buying one those 'from the cockpit' type DVD movies so you can 'see' how things work.Cheers,Bryan B.
