RealAir announce freeware C172 SP

Featured Replies

Yep, got to agree with that. Am now flying and it is very similar to the 172SP I flew in last year, although they only let me sit in P2, the miserable swines! What a lovely spin and the stall is just about perfect (although every 172 I've ever stalled in was so poorly rigged they always dropped a wing. Now I know what the designers intended). The flight model makes for an interesting comparison with Ron Freimuths model, which I used exclusively up til this point. A bit less sprightly in climb, a little slower to respond to control inputs, but that same indefinable feeling in the low speed environment that you are flying something substantial, not a few pixels on a TV screen.ChasW
