Can I Remove Asx After Upgrade To Asa?

Featured Replies

I purchased and installed the ASA upgrade to ASX. I still have ASX installed, can I now remove ASX from my machine or should I leave ASX in place? With ASA I see no messages in FSX like I used to have with ASX "ASX connected "Starting weather etc" "Weather complete". It would be nice to have confirmation in FSX that ASA is connected and working? Thanks in advance.Merry ChristmasJohn

Unless you are absolutely desperate to get the 60 or 70 Mb of space back I wouldn't remove ASX as you will need to have it installed if for any reason you need to reinstall ASA.As for the text you need to make sure you have a check mark in the box next to "Show in sim text messages" which is in the options> general options tab.

Cheers, Andy.

I reinstalled ASA and have the check mark in the box. I saw one message 'ASA connected' in my first run but haven't seen it since, is this normal? I have flown from the same airpot on three different days now and the barometric pressure is always the same which makes me suspect that the weather is not being updated in FSX.
