Asa Auotogenerate

Featured Replies

Just starting to get to grips with the snapshot element of ASA. One query- When ASA autogenerates snapshots is it obeying any of the settings options set in X Graphics or ( as I think) simply using relevant textures from the XG database files?Secondly, and I appreciate it may vary with specific add ons, presumably you do not have to actually run FSX time and time again to build up the snapshot database. I have been varying textures via FEX and XG (XG last) and once the relavant program confirms installed in FSX , taking the snapshot and saving via ASA. Using this method ii hope I have not simply been constantly re-naming and saving the same textures over and over again?!!!Any advice appreciated

I cant answer your first question as I dont have XG even though I'm a beta tester for HIFI.As to your second question, yes what you are doing is fine, this is exactly how I set up all my snapshots and it works great.

Cheers, Andy.

What are these snapshots? Different 3rd party cloud texture themes for different ASA weather scenarios? In otherwords, I should install a stormy FEX theme, then in ASA associate with stormy weather? And ASA should automatically install the snapshot based on the weather? I should read the manual more I guess.

Yes about installing the FEX textures, not about reading the manual, though that is always a good thing!
