January 20, 200917 yr I am currently running ASA with the beta patch and have noticed that even though I have 8 variations (snapshots) under each weather type that ASA keeps using the same snapshots to depict a weather type. It is my understanding that this snaphot selection should be random in nature however ASA keeps using the same snapshots over and over for a particular wearther type. There is no randomness at all.Has anyone else reported this behavior and is there a possible fix??Thank you in advance.
January 21, 200917 yr Author Hi,This is something we are looking into. Thanks,Jim,Thanks for the reply. Something else to add that I noticed. ASA used to automaticlly update the scenery when initially depicting the weather in FSX (which is where I beleive it was installing the random snapshot for the weather type). This is no longer happening. ASA just depicts the weather with the currently installed snapshot.Regards,Bob
January 21, 200917 yr Snapshots cannot be loaded when the flight simulator is running because the files a locked by windows when they are in memory. The automatic refresh of AI when ASA starts was removed because it was stopping certain third party aircraft like the PMDG MD-11 from loading properly when FS was started, you can still refresh the AI but you must do it manually on the Report page. Cheers, Andy.
