I just got done tweaking my computer and FSX installation according to Nick's guide and got a good FPS boost. I have seen this guide for a while, but never looked at it, because I thought I knew everything about getting FSX to run smoothly. I was happy with my frames in FSX until I purchased the Flight 1 mustang the other day. Outside views were fine, but once I switch to VC view, it went down to single digits. This was the only plane Ive had this problem with. After going through the guide, I get in the low 20's now. I had lots of misconceptions about how FSX configurations work. Glad it helped RobOnce you get your head around what is happening.. you can pretty puch target issues as they come up and compensate correctly as needed
