Wind shifts tango - FSUIPC or ASA?

Featured Replies

FolksI have been using ASX from HiFi since it first came out and the issue regarding the violent shifts in winds aloft has been disussed in many different forum threads in numerous forums. I'd like to try and improve the performance of this aspect of the weather engine and it seems that based on what I've read Active Sky Advanced (ASA) or the registered version of FSUIPC claim to overcome or improve this problem. As an upgrade from ASX, ASA is virtually equivalent in cost to a registered verson of ASA. The question is, in your opinion and experience, which one of the options below addresses the wind shift issue the best:1) ASX and registered FSUIPC or2) an upgrade from ASX to ASAThe third possibility, an ASA upgrade plus a registered copy of FSUIPC is out of the question- too many $.Thanks for your unvarnished opinion.Brent

Brent - This is being continually discussed in the HiFiSim Support forum. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showforum=171Vic
VicI posted it here because I was trying to avoid poking the bear in your house but if you think that's ok I'll ask the same question there....I obviously didn't get much feedback in the general FSX forum. Thanks,Brent
