Thanks for this, Dan.I haven't heard about the 56-day cycle thing you mention before, could you explain what that is?

IFR Charts are issued on a 56-day cycle, although airac data has a 28-day cycle. Note current charts (if you have one) are dated 12Mar-7May (includes cycles 0903-0904). Most changes during the "off-cycle" such as the even cycles are this year are at military installations. Changes to data during an "off-cycle" that impact charts are published in NOTAMs (one reason to always check those during preflight). Since there are 13 cycles each year, the "off-cycles" vary from even to odd each year.I had a few approach charts change Rev number (each chart has a revision and date such as KBWI ILS 15R is Amdt 15B 09099). The ILS 15R at KBWI was changed from an Amdt 15A to 15B and the date 09099 is the julian date of the change, and is included in the cycle 0904 data but if you study the charts these changes are sometimes hard to find. In this case, no changes to route, fixes or altitudes that affect navdata but the change could have been fixing a typo or an obstruction height or whatever.
