I'm running ASA B394 in FS9.1 and apart from the problems that are being worked on (cloud popping, wind shifts with PMDG, etc) I am getting good weather depiction *most* of the time.My main grumble is the time it takes to load up. I start it before starting FS and it is several minutes before it is able to provide reports. I noticed that one bottleneck seems to be when it is "parsing line items". It took 2 mins 15 secs to do just this bit of the loading!Any chance you can speed it up, guys?Iain Smith

Hi,ASA does take longer than previous versions due to the amount of data being processed. Also, we cannot speed up things too fast due to timing restraints with FSUIPC. Set High Priority Processes both ways in ASA and see if one way is better than the other. I have also found that having FS minimized can speed things up for me.Thanks,

Well Jim, as I said in my post, I start ASA before starting FS so this is not applicable. I'll experiment with the High Priority Processes in ASA.ThanksIain Smith

Are you using a multicore CPU? If so, try assigning ASA to different cores other than Core 0.Vic

Hi Vic. Unfortunately not. I'm hoping to replace/upgrade my box this year. Maybe then this will improve along with other aspects of performance. :( Iain Smith

Hi Jim, that's difficult to answer as I start ASA first and get that to the reporting stage, which takes a total of about 4 to 5 minutes, before I start FS. Once FS is running and I'm at a location it's about 30 seconds before weather is depicted. Hope this is clear.Iain Smith

HiI have also noticed ASA takes time to complete its initial setup when started before FSX.It keeps switching from primary to secondary server and back again, it did not do this when i first got it.
