Is prop synch modelled in the sim?

I see prop synch switches that move in certain planes and I think there are entries in the cfg file for such things, but I don't believe they actually have any effect in FSX, do they?
Haven't you ever paid attention to the prop synch indicator in the default twins? Of course it works... :(

Well, I'm used to matching props by sound, rather than using the gauge...I don't think such dynamic sound is modelled in the sim. Thus, at best, all that happens is that the black and white prop in the guage stops moving, but the props really aren't synched.

No, they aren't. Of course there aren't really any props to synch, but there is sound......which isn't supported either, more's the pity. It would be nice to have that wonderful beat harmonic from un-synched props! :(
