May 10, 200917 yr Just installed FS9 in a friends pc and the installation ran OK but when I go to "Create a Flight" there is no shot of any selected aircraft and if I click on "Fly Now" I get a Back screen after the loading has completed. The PC is running OK on everything else but Ic cannot fathomn why I have this Blackout with FS9I would appreciate any adviceThanksraffer

The PC is running OK on everything else but Ic cannot fathomn why I have this Blackout with FS9I would appreciate any adviceThanksrafferI believe I have seen advice regarding this subject in several older posts and the "fix" (if I remember correctly) had to do with the anti-alias settings.The suggestion (as I remember it) is to turn off AA on the Card (set it to application controlled) and if you want AA, set it in FS2004 under the display/hardware options.This may or may not work depending upon the Video Card being used.Might be worth experimenting with these settings.

May 10, 200917 yr That problem occured with older Nvidia drivers I believe when AA was set to 8x or above. As far as I can tell that problem has been solved with newer drivers as you have experienced. To anyone still having that problem, a quick work around (that is if you dont want to lower AA to 4x) is to hit alt-enter to go to windowed mode when at the create a flight screen, than simply switch have to full screen mode to fly. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
