calibration of 6 lever axis

I hope someone can give me somme advice. I am trying to calibrate my TQ6 but the first two axis are shown as a box with a small cross in the middle ( such as when calibrating a yoke) and the other axis are shown correctly as a moving bar. This makes calibrating the first two axis accurately impossible. I use Vista 64. How can I configure windows to see all the 6 axis as moving bars.Andrew

Best way to do this is via a registered copy of 'FSUIPC'. Works every time. ;)

Yup, I've been using the registered FSUIPC utility for years and my FSUIPC.ini has evolved into an elaborate schema to handle twin-props, twin-jets, tri-holers, and quad-jets. It is the first an primary file that gets backed up, as well as mirgrated to upgrades and rebuilds. Make sure you un-assign like axis in the FS Controls menu, as well as buttons. I personally leave the POV Hat switch assigned in the FS Controls menu however, as I think it performs better when panning. The problem is the 1.81 goflight drivers and Vista 64 which was confirmed by their techies and will be fixed in the upcoming release of the 1.82 drivers. In the meantime I was e-mailed 3 DLL files which I placed in my system 32 folder and problem solved. The quadrant when calibrating now shows as 6 levers. The other issue with the drivers is the fact the fsx databridge didn't start when FSX started as it should. To run the databridge I had to go to the installation folder and manually click on the exe file to start it. This problem will also be fixed in the next driver update. For now the throttles, spoiler and flaps are mapped via FSX and the reversers are mapped via FSUIPC. seems to work OK. When the 1.82 drivers are released I will use the GF Config to map the throttles and reversers.Andrew Dixon

I have the full GF airliner configuration plus EFIS, and it works great with the 737. However, with the 744, (FS9.1) the speed brake and flap levers do not work. I have the most recent version, and registered copy of FSUIPC. I have disabled all axes and assignments to my CH yoke and pedals for aircraft controls. What FSUIPC settings are required to make the speed brake and flap levers work properly? Thanks for anyone who can help!Jimps...I also have the FSX version of the 744 and most recent registered copy of FSUIPC for FSX....I have not tested it yet.

In the FSUIPC axis assignments for each of those axis, make sure you have the 'Reverse' checkbox checked. Also, you can't properly check the speed brake on the ground on most of the complex airliners.

Hi Al - yes, please post your fsuipc.ini file contents here, as I still cannot get the flaps and spoilers to work with the GF throttle quadrant. (It works fine for other addon planes as is, so I would be very interested to see what you've done!)Thanks!Jim

No problem Jim, but I just got to work and won't be able to post until sometime early this evening (EDT). Also please be aware, my setup is for a Saitek Yoke and TQ as well as CH peddals.

Here 'ya go Jim, my complete file - please note, this was all hand-jammed before Pete introduced the name-profiling feature found near the bottom. I just haven't had time to catch-up on that feature yet. Please refference the FSUIPC PDF guides for interpritation but holler back if you something doesn't quite make sense. Hope this helps...

Yes, to an extent. Read in the advance users guide about 'ShortAircraftNameOk'. I check/edit all of my [flightsim.x] title= entry lines in the aircraft.cfg files to match the above labels for each section. You have to enable ShortAircraftNameOk=Yes variable near the top of this ini file first (mine is) and then, for example, [axes.pmdg 747] will now work with any livery who's tiltle= line in the aircraft.cfg starts with 'pmdg 747'. If I remember correctly, most of them already were named accordingly except the deafult PMDG liveries and a few others, which required a tweak of the title. A search and replace tool works real well when making these kinds of changes to the title= lines in the aircraft.cfg.
