May 27, 200917 yr Hey Phil,What exact version of SP3 are you running? You should see in Computer Properties - if it says something like "XP Professional SP 3 v.3xxx" then you're likely running a beta version of SP3, and will need to uninstall that and install a proper version. It should only display, AFAIK, "Service Pack 3".You should be able to remove it in the usual way, via Add/Remove CP applet.Hope this helps, Leo Louise London, UK

May 28, 200917 yr It says Service Pack 3 v3264 :(OK, then it looks like you're running the beta. It's funny, I do wonder if MS didn't slip out an updated SP3 and call that the final after publishing an original final - I only recently realised I was running a beta SP3 on my Virtual Machines, and came across this problem too. In my case, it was problematic as I'd slipstreamed the beta into the installation, so had to rebuild the XP image first :( , then rebuild all the VM's to reflect that changed installation. There's a way to spend hours..So, if you can, uninstall the beta via Add/Remove - Windows update should then pick it up as an available update, or, as I do, download the deployment version - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en - its the full SP, intended for deployment over multiple computers. At least now I know. Mine is also SLIPSTREAMED from my original SP2 CD.This could also account for all sorts of issues I've got too. Lot's of grief with the PMDG744 not liking my O/S.I can't remove SP3 due the slipstream - guess it's another XP install.................Thanks though Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
May 28, 200917 yr Ah SH*T!!!...Yes, my thoughts when I found this out too :( Do you use Nlite for slipstreaming? I've found the RyanVM saves a ton of time with "up and running" XP...What probs do you have with the 744? AFAIK, that came out long before SP3, and although beta, I wouldn't have thought it should have made too much difference in its operation.. Louise London, UK
