May 28, 200917 yr LoL.....tell ya what, I just started perusing though this forum and it brought back all my fond memories of my flight simming heydays...., FS2002, still playing all the Janes Combat sims, European Air War, CFS2....man oh man...those were the sim'n days...Fly!/FlyII/Terrascene/Terramodel. Seems like yesterday I had my super fast 430mhz PC with 128 meg of ram, downloading and rendering all the Terrascene stuff....waking up early in the morning, firing up FlyII and the joy of looking out the window in the virtual world and seeing all the roads/rivers/cities where they were supposed to be....kind of brings a tear my my eye. The Fly! series (and FU) were my catalyst to get my pilots license and to pursue a career in aviation. I always had an interest in flying, and Fly! taught me that I could figure out what all those buttons and gauges do! Gave me the confidence to go after my PPL. Anyway, started looking though this forum again (I used to post here and the Flight Unlimited board constantly) and searched for some FlyII screen caps. Now I have to reinstall it just for nostalgia. What a great sim. I really wish I had something to offer the Fly! Legacy group.Take care everyone.

Has been a long time since you last visited, hasn't it? Well, several of us are still keeping the Dream Alive - as down the road, I believe Roger M. may have something for us. I myself am still working on a small revamp of the Seawind, plus struggling with Andrew Farnaby's Learjet for Fly!II (dang, wish I had coding / 3D modeling experience! Much less the time right now to learn more on the 3D modeling!). Also working on Georgio's Cessna 750 model - trying to put together a photo-real panel from scratch with it and stock gauges. Don't suppose there are any artists / coders with some free time, eh? But either way, there are still those of us working the Sim and continuing to keep her alive. ROTW group working on Fly!Legacy, and more good things to come!Cheers, ___________________________ Kenneth E Wood Jr 🌪️🌩️ ex AG1, USN (14yr Vet) Weather Foecaster

I have R Young's Fly v88 Lear 35a, what's available for Fly2?Do you know when and where Legacy can be downloaded?I've got Fly!2K (v88) running on windows 7 RC. My fly2's are only running on 98se, everything on newer OS's is messed up, have to figure it out later.Best wishes.

It was going to be an F2FD /ROTW joint project - but got waylaid. Not sure if ROTW is still planning on doing anything with it or not, and all our Real World lives have taken over lately. Plus - ROTW is doing most of the work on FLy! Legacy right now. Now, whether or not the Lear is planned to be an inclusion with that, I do not know. I play around with the panel stuff, but not being a graphics artist or a programmer, it is rather difficult to make the panel reallistic looking. I just plug in some original gauges here and there, but so far am not overly satisfied with what I've done to actually release anything. I also have Giorgio's Cessna Citation X model - but no panel with it - so that is a "from Scratch" build". Am sure the Citation's flight dynamics would need further tweaking, but what does work with it looks okay from my standpoint. It is just a matter of finding the right people to help finish them off! To be clear though - Rob Young and Andrew turned Seneca V and Learjet over to me as a project co-ordinator between F2FD and ROTW - so I probably would not be able to release what I've done as it is, without Pacha /ROTW's okay. :( F2FD dissolved a bit back due to real-world comittments. But! Should I be allowed to release whatever I do from ROTW gang - it will still be some time without some programming and art help. But I keep hoping!!! Right now, I do not want to bother ROTW guys while they work so hard for us on Fly! Legacy. Cheers! ___________________________ Kenneth E Wood Jr 🌪️🌩️ ex AG1, USN (14yr Vet) Weather Foecaster
